For two years, Louise was the Independent Supervisor of the first storytelling training for adults with learning disabilities, The Unlimited Company, initiated and directed by Dr Nicola Grove, and supported by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD). This company of storytellers is now up and running and called the Open Storytellers.

Louise's work and inspiration to do with gesture, puppets and storytelling with Openstorytellers is described in Nicola Grove's new book: Learning to Tell, published by BILD.

'' I could see the pictures inside me, it felt good...!''

Robin Meader, Artistic Director, Openstorytellers -working with Louise at Essex University, Society for Storytelling Conference

Louise was asked in May 07 to support and consult on a pilot project of Lis'n Tell in an infants school in Canterbury, Kent. This was run by a Specialist SaLT and teaching staff for one particular class group to begin with, which includes children with speech and language delays and disorders. The project, based on The Princess and the Pea, by Hans Christian Anderson, is written up in the March 09 Bulletin Magazine of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

In April 2010, Louise has been invited to visit ''the little group'',co-founded by Gina Davies, an innovative nursery for children with autistic spectrum condition. There, she is observing and coaching the staff she trained previously, and introducing new staff to Lis'n Tell - as well as demonstrating her techniques with two of the classes there!
